Mouni Roy is an Indian Television star and film actress. She is known for playing Krishna Tulsi in “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” in 2007. Apart from this Mouni also played Sati in “Devon Ke Dev Mahadev” and shivanya in “Nagin”.
In 2017 she was the finalist on “jhalak dikhlaja”. She is also well trained in kathak dance. She made her Bollywood debut in 2018, opposite Akshay Kumar with the sports biopic Gold.

On 28th September, 1985 Mouni Roy was born in Cooch Behar to a Bengali family, west Bengal. Shekhar Chandra Roy, her grandfather was a well-known Intra Theater artist. Her mother mukti was a Theater artist and anil roy, her father was an office superintend of Cooch Behar Zilla Parishad.
She did her schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya in Baburhat, then went to Delhi. At Jamia Millia Islamia, she took up mass communication, but left her course at mid-way and went to Mumbai to try her luck in films.
In 2004, she appeared as a background dancer in the song “Nahi Hona” film run.

In 2007, mouni started career with ekta Kapoor drama “Kyunki Saas bhi Kabhi bahu Thi” in which she playing the role of Krishna Tulsi then she also won the first season “Zara Nach ke Dikha”. Mouni get fame after playing the role as sati in mythological series “Devon Ke Dev Mahadev”. In 2015, mouni roy playing the role of shivanya in Ekta Kapoor’s super natural series “Naagin”.
Mouni also voiced for the role of sita in the animated film “Mahayodha Rama”.
Mouni Roy Bollywood Debut Film
Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Akshay Kumar in “Gold”. In KGF chapter 1 she also made a special appearance in the song Gali Gali. She started in RAW Romeo-Akbar-Walter opposite John Abraham in 2019. She would also be seen in Mogul alongside Aamir Khan and in Made in China alongside Rajkumar Rao.
She has also confirmed her role in the Indian Super Hero Trilogy Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukherjee and Produced by Karan Johar and costarring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan which will release in 2020.

In 2018, she was nominated as emerging New Beauty of the year for the movie “Gold”.
